This is a very nice nearly all original vintage 1979 Honda CT70 3 speed auto. The bike is in awesome shape. It does have a few blemishes as expected for 34 years old. The paint on the main body is all original and in very nice condition with only a few minor blemishes. The exhaust looks very good and has no leaks. There is some oxidation evident on the exhaust. The tires have quite a bit of wear still left on them and are not weather checked. The battery is brand new. The only items other than the battery that appear to have been changed are the air filter element and the spark plug. I truely believe everything else is factory original. This is a two owner bike that was with the second owner for about 32 years.

The seat cover is original and very nice shape. The underside of seat pan is also in great shape. The handlebars look great and are very straight.  Headlight, tail light, turn signals and brake light are all in working order as well as the horn. I have ordered a new choke lever that will be installed before the auction ends. The original is broken.

Overall this is a very nice bike for it's age. It is not perfect..... but an overall excellent example of a 35 year old survivor bike. It would be awesome left as a "survivor" or restore it if you wish. It starts first or second kick and runs well after a brief warm up. It does not smoke or burn oil. The trans shifts smoothly and the brakes are in good working order. This bike is ready to ride!!!!

Bike is for sale locally! I have the right to end the auction at any time if sold prior to auctions end.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I will assist with shipping by delivering to a local Lansing MI area freight terminal or assist with local pick-up.  Feel free to contact me re: any shipping arrangements prior to bidding

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

The series is open to riders 15-25, though riders as young as 13 may be eligible if they have competed in at least three sanctioned CBR125R events.

2012 GSX-R1000 arrives at Visordown HQ

Wed, 23 May 2012

You've probably seen the video of Simon Crafar smoking up the 2012 GSX-R1000 at Almeria. Impressive stuff. Suzuki are (correct me if I'm wrong) the last manufacturer of an inline four superbike not to offer it with some sort of electronic rider aids.
