Honda CT description

For sale today is a fully restored 1970 CT 70H KO.  This is the some what rare bike of the mini trail 70's.  It is the 4 speed manual clutch.  I have had the bike for some time and just decided to make it new again.  The beautiful paint is a Topaz orange and pretty much dead on.  Like many of us I owned this exact bike when they first came out.  The vin on this is 120010 and the engine is 120043 and manufactured in 7/70.  The engine has been gone through completely.  It starts, idles,  runs and shifts so nicely.  No smoke.  I have replaced all the parts on this bike with NOS or OEM for the most part.  Shocks,  forks, handle bars, brakes, fenders, tires, cables, etc are new.  Completely all new electrical.  Even the rims are new.  I replaced everything.  I wanted a New Bike. It would be easier to say the foot brake,  tail light, bezel, and motor guard are not new.  The foot pegs, kickstand and seat have been powder coated for endurance. Lights and horn work perfect.  This bike was built to last another 50 yrs easy. This bike wow's everyone it see's.  Why restore a 1100 mi bike?  Why not or because I can.  It's a spendy little project but I think it was worth it.  It wasn't meant to be sold but I have some other projects that have taken priority over the bike.  The bike has 30 miles since the restore.  I will ride it a couple more before the sale ends. I have the title and it's registered till 6/14. This bike can now be yours for the right price.  Shipping is pretty easy now days.  No need to crate or any of that old school process.  You are responsible for shipping or pick up.  Paypal  200.00 deposit within 24 hrs auction close.  Cashiers check from us bank only.  Pay pal payment must be discussed with me.  Cash in person is always nice.   Hope your having fun.

The unseen Honda collection

Thu, 07 Jan 2010

IN AN UMARKED warehouse in Torrance, California, lies a collection of classic Honda cars and motorcycles from the past four decades - most have never been seen by public eyes. The collection was started by a former executive of American Honda, Tom Elliott, Honda USA's executive vice president for sales, John Mendel, tells the New York Times.“The problem was, we kept turning up more and more significant models that we couldn’t let go of,” said Mr. Mendel. We just kept parking them in this warehouse.

R&G announce cheaper engine case cover kits

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

R&G Racing has reacted to the rising cost of official motorcycle parts from manufacturers by creating money saving packages on its Engine Case Covers. As a reaction to the parts price rise, the crash protection leader has created a kit package on its Engine Case Covers (ECC) – offering an overall saving of more than 10% when compared to buying the items individually. The ECCs are designed to protect the engine cases and the inner workings of the motor in the event of a drop by acting as a sturdy ‘second skin’.By simply bolting over the original items, fitting the durable Engine Case Covers doesn’t require draining any engine fluids or replacing gaskets. Extensively developed in the ACU R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy, as well as being tested and approved by the California Superbike School in the UK and USA, the covers can allow a bike to be ridden after a crash or prevent terminal engine damage from oil leaks or casing punctures.Protection benefits aside, financial savings for riders are evident by looking at official parts prices; to replace only the clutch cover on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K7 would cost £206 including a new gasket, but all three R&G Engine Case Covers for this bike cost only £143.
