Honda CRF description

2013 HONDA Crf450r, Winning Is Everything. Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike s center of mass. They re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one.

Honda Announces More New-Model Releases For 2012

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Lost in all the hoopla surrounding the new models being released at EICMA this week, Honda has announced details about a few more models in its 2012 lineup: the CB1000R, CBR250R, Silver Wing scooter and the Ruckus, along with the cutting-edge VFR1200F that receives an infusion of impressive new technology for 2012 (which we’ll highlight in a separate blog entry). All of which are returning models from 2011. Pricing is yet to be determined.

Honda’s View of the Motorcycle Industry in Canada

Fri, 13 Aug 2010

Recently here on Motorcycle.com, we’ve been bringing you reviews of a handful of Honda scoots that are available to our neighbors (or is that neighbours?) to the North in Canada, yet remain forbidden fruit for American consumers. Reviewer Costa Mouzouris gave us a look at the naked CB1000R that Honda Canada is considering importing, the already-available half-faired CBF1000, and the entry-level CBR125R. Meanwhile, Honda’s competitors have also announced some new products for Canada that have yet to be made available in the U.S.
