Honda CRF description

2011 Honda CRF450X, CRF450X - You want a bike that can tackle the toughest enduro events, and come away with the big trophies. You want a bike that can handle a rugged trail during fun weekend rides with your friends, and come away with bragging rights. The bike you want is the Honda CRF450X. The CRF450Xs liquid-cooled Unicam four-stroke engine is tuned to produce the muscular low-end and midrange power that will make short work of a tight, twisty uphill or a muddy corduroy section, plus the high-revving horsepower for when the trail straightens out. A light but strong twin-spar aluminum frame, Showa inverted cartridge fork, trail-smoothing Pro-Link rear suspension, and strong wheels with new black rims for 2011, provide the sure handling control that lets you put all that power to use. Big power and predictable handling — thats the Honda CRF450X formula. Track or trail, its a winning combination.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda VFR800F

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Gracing the new 2014 VFR800F is traction control, ABS, heated grips, adjustable seat height and self-canceling blinkers. The V-Four-powered machine has been re-tuned  for greater low and mid-range torque, and also receives a new telescopic fork, Pro-arm swingarm, wheels, new, slimmer bodywork and styling. Starting with the 782cc V4-VTEC engine, Honda engineers focused mainly on cam timing and valve duration/overlap to increase low-to midrange power and torque, claiming 104.5 hp @ 10,250 rpm and 55.4 ft-lbs of torque @ 8,500 rpm. Bore and stroke is 72mm x 48mm, with compression ratio of 11.8:1. VTEC valve timing still operates one pair of inlet/exhaust valves per cylinder at low rpm, and then switches to four as revs rise. Honda’s single-mode Traction Control System (TCS) is fitted as standard equipment and is operated from the left handlebar.

2012 Honda NC700X and NC700S Debut in Canada – MSRP Expected to be “Under $9000″ [Video]

Sat, 10 Dec 2011

There are no plans yet to bring either model to the U.S., but Honda is bringing its new NC700S and NC700X models to Canada for the summer of 2012. American Honda will however, likely be keeping a close eye on how the new models do with its northern neighbor (or perhaps “neighbour”) before deciding whether to import the NC700 models stateside. Making their North American debuts at the 2011 Toronto Motorcycle Show, the naked standard NC700S and the more adventure-touring styled NC700X represent a new product family for Honda, sharing the same frame and 670cc parallel Twin engine with each other and the Honda Integra scooter-motorcycle crossover (speaking of which, there are no plans for the Integra to come to either the U.S.
