Weve given our quarter-liter wonder some serious upgrades for 2011 and it likes to win. Because theres a new 94 dB exhaust rule this year, we gave the CRF250R a new muffler. But we also gave it a new ECU settings which, combined with the exhaust, gives you more usable power, especially in the midrange. Its a win-win situation: A quieter bike and one thats even easier to ride. Like the CFR450R, we also gave the CRF250R a new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) with a new, bigger 24 mm piston. That gives you more damping when you need it, but still remains as transparent as ever when you dont. Tue, 18 Feb 2014James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.
Motorcycle Results From The 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
Mon, 01 Jul 2013The 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is in the books, and while much of the media attention focused on Sebastien Loeb demolishing the outright course record, setting the first eight-minute lap with a 8:13.878 over 90 seconds faster than the previous lap record in his Peugeot 208 T16, history was made in the motorcycle divisions as well. Below are the times for all the motorcycle competitors in this year’s event. As expected, Carlin Dunne aboard the Lightning electric superbike, took top honors among all motorcycle competitors, marking the first time an electric motorcycle has done so.
