Five years in a row. The CRF450R has won pretty much every honor thrown its way—and it has no plans of letting up. Which is why weve made it even lighter, more responsive and better handling than ever, retooling the cylinder head and intake valves, boosting the carb to 41 mm, and adding a new brake lever linkage to improve stopping power, a new subframe and a Dunlop 742 FA front tire. Isle of Man TT 2012: TT Zero Results – MotoCzysz Wins 100 mph Bounty
Wed, 06 Jun 2012Third time’s a charm. 2010 and 2011 TT Zero winner MotoCzysz, with rider Michael Rutter, finally became the first to average a speed of 100 mph on the Isle of Man‘s 37.733 Mountain Course on an electric motorcycle, capturing the long-sought after 10,000 British pound (US$15,000) bounty. Wearing the #1 plate for winning last year’s TT Zero, Rutter completed the 2012 TT Zero with a time of 21:45.33 for an average speed of 104.056 mph on the new 2012 MotoCzysz E1PC.
Casey Stoner To Be Named MotoGP Legend
Fri, 11 Oct 2013There’s no question Casey Stoner was (and still is) one of the best riders ever to throw a leg over a motorcycle. His accomplishments on two wheels, especially his championships on both Ducati and Honda machinery, are proof. Next week at the MotoGP round at Phillip Island in Australia, Stoner will join a distinct group of riders as he will be officially inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.
Hot Lap Around Spa-Francorchamps With Xavier Simeon
Fri, 20 Jan 2012If you’re a fan of motorsport on both two and four wheels like me, then you should be familiar with the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Here, Belgian native Xavier Simeon, the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 champion and current Moto2 competitor, does a couple flying laps around his home track aboard a Honda CBR600RR at what appears to be a trackday. The speed he carries and the smoothness of his riding are simply extraordinary.
