Honda CR description

Sorry Everyone,  For some reason I had to update the payment policy.  That is why my listing was removed.   I didn't state that the only way I will accept a cash payment is in person after the sale not sent directly in the mail!  (NO CASH IS TO BE SENT IN THE MAIL!) So please don't do that!  Or you can use palpal for deposit and to finalize the sale.  Thanks!

Hi, My name is Robert.  I'm offering for sale some bikes in my collection.

Today I'm listing a 1976 HONDA CR250 ELSINORE!  This is a very correct bike.  It was bought August of 1975 by a man at the age of 45 in Minnesota.  He had ridden it the rest of that year until the weather became to cold to ride he stated to me.  He then put the bike in his Heated-A/C controlled woodworking shop for the next season and it just sat their for the next 33 years unused until I came across it in one of my travels looking for Vintage Motorcycles in 2008, he was 78 at the time.  I had the bike shipped back to South Florida where I have my own personal museum for my enjoyment.  I only ridden the bike once and that was after the shipper dropped it off in 2008.  I drained the gas tank and carburetor of the little bit of gas that I put into it and placed it on display.  It has sat here in the same spot since in the same condition as I bought it in!

This is a "Milestone Bike" meaning this is the First Year for a all "Tahitian Red" Bike.  This was the year that Honda made this "THEIR COLOR"!  The pic's show the wear that the Gentleman put on the bike that season and thats it!  The engine was never apart and it is still equipped with the original IRC tires.  Even has the Dealer Decal on the fender from Minnesota.  It is missing one handlebar bolt that was misplaced at the time of shipping and the right handgrip is torn from years of storage. I have a set of NOS grips that I never installed that will go with the bike. This is NOT A RESTORATION!!!  THIS IS A SURVIVOR!!!   The Tank is BEAUTIFUL, All the Plastic is BEAUTIFUL, The Engine is BEAUTIFUL,  The Exhaust  Pipe is BEAUTIFUL,  The Seat is BEAUTIFUL!  The Pics show the Wear from one season of use in 1975!   This is what you look for in a Motorcycle.  Something like this, with it's heritage does not come around but once in your life time!  Their is no warranty with the bike.  It is sold AS/IS - Where/IS!  The Shipping is up to you at your expense!  I cannot crate the bike. I will hold the bike for as long as you need within reason,  Just ask first!  The bike will have to be "Paid In Full" with CASH in person after a $500 deposit at auctions end with PayPal prior to delivery or "Paid In Full" with PayPAL at auctions end before the bike leaves my museum for delivery!   I will provide a "Bill Of Sale" only with the Motorcycle.  It cannot be titled for street use!

I truly hate to see it go, as I very rarely list my bikes for sale!  I just need to fund a new barn find that is going to take a lot of cash to get the deal done!   I have the bike listed locally as well and if it should sell there first I will remove this listing.

Thanks-A-Million for reading my post,
Robert (561) 662-0179

Misano Moto GP. Was it Divine Intervention?

Thu, 20 Sep 2012

I’m still buzzing from an amazing weekend of Moto GP in Misano. It took until Saturday lunchtime for the sun to get his hat on but from there on in the atmosphere at both the circuit and the nearby beachfront was first class. As usual on race day we had epic Moto 3 and Moto 2 races with respective champions elect Cortese and Marquez once again taking victories by just fractions of a second.

Win a Fireblade. Yes, really.

Fri, 29 Jun 2012

This weekend sees the launch of Honda's anniversary promotions for the Fireblade – marking 20 years since its introduction. The firm has created a prize-draw web page at www.honda.co.uk/fireblade and for a chance to win you just need to fill in your details, after which you'll be given a code which you must take to a participating Honda dealer on August 11 before 2pm. The winner will be announced at 3pm on the 11th, and if they've hung around in the dealership until then they'll also be given 10 tickets to Motorcycle Live 2012.

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.
