This bike is an original 1997 Honda CR 500 it has not been modified or abused, the engine and running gear are all that came with the bike, the bike has really low hours considering the age of the unit. It has been very well maintained, the original owner only rode the bike once, not being a very good rider suffered a broken wrist and stored the bike.The motorcycle is extremely fast and is not recommended for a novice rider.The bike has some miner cosmetic issues 2 small dents in the exhaust, miner wear on the side case next to the rear brake pedal, and small repair to the seat cover.The unit will be sold as local pickup only,the buyer can make arrangements for pickup. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

Thu, 06 Feb 2014I want to buy a second bike to get across town on the daily commute as I currently ride a 183bhp ZX-10R to work and while it's a peach of a bike, it tempts me into doing bad things on a daily basis. This has to stop. My criteria is fairly simple: I want something that is cheap to buy (close to £2k), cheap to run, frugal on the fuel, easy to ride, nimble through traffic, dull enough to not get nicked and ABS is a deal-maker.
