Honda CR description

1979 Honda CR 125R Vin JE01-2009324        Engine # JE01E-2009862
Manuf date 3/79

I had bought this bike to race in the Post Vintage series, starting in April. Little did I know that finding a 23" front tire would be such a chore.  It seems that the only manufacturer who makes a full knobby 23" is Cheng Shin. I have had a tire on order from Chapparel Motorsports since April 1st. Status has been two weeks, then two weeks then first of May, first of June.... I give up. I know ..put a 21" wheel on it..blah blah blah.  Would make a nice restoration or racer. Just want to recoup some money to put towards something else. Anyway, on the to the good stuff.

I bought in Northern Ohio in March, Previous owner did new top end. Runs very strong!!
6 speed!  This bike is fast!
Stock tank is in very good condition-just two slight dents. Tank alone is probably worth a few bucks.
Tire that is on front is the stock Honda Trail Wing, holds air, has some dry rot cracks. Did ride up and down field with it. Also included is a new tube for it.

New front and rear brakes
New Progressive shocks
New plastic kit from DC Plastics
New rear tire-Shinko Holeshot ST 525 110/10 18
New rear wheel bearings
New chain and sprockets
New front fork oil seals and dust seals
New fork boots
New Handlebars from RE-MX
New Oury grips
New perches with nos levers
New Terry throttle cable
New Terry front brake cable
New seat foam and cover from VMX-Racing
NOS throttle tube-bought from England!
New carb needle seat
New aftermarket wide foot pegs from VMX Racing -have the small stock ones as well.
New chain roller
NOS tank warning decals

Can deliver to Mid Ohio Vintage Days if paid in full. Will work with shipper of your choice or may be picked up zip code 45176
No trades, email with any questions. Thanks!!

Tire is still on order. They were certain it would be the first of June.....and today is the 18th. LOL

Need something to do on August Bank Holiday weekend, then read below: "Although the South West Motorcycle Show has been running at the Westpoint Arena for the last sixteen years, 2010 is the first year that the show hosts the all-new Vertical Trix European Stunt Championship. The show contains all the usual attractions that have been delivered to motorcyclists from over the south-west and further afield since 1994 – including all the appropriate trade stands, and with strong support from local dealers – plus attractions such a a dyno on site, restaurant, bar, bike displays, live music and of course the live action arena. Although the action in the show arena has previously been stunt displays, rather than a full-on competition.

CARB Certifies 2015 Honda NC700X – Still No 750 Engine in Sight

Tue, 07 Oct 2014

American consumers hoping Honda would replace its NC700X with the larger-displacement NC750X will be disappointed to know they might have to wait until the 2016 model year to get the 75cc engine upgrade. The California Air Resources Board has granted an executive for the 2015 Honda NC700X, certifying the motorcycle for sale in the state with the same 670cc engine displacement it had since being introduced in the 2012 model year. Now, this doesn’t mean Honda won’t decide to certify the 745cc engine after all; manufacturers resubmit and recertify models all the time, often replacing models are adding additional model using the same engine.

Marc Marquez Breaks Leg in Training Crash

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez has broken his right fibula in a dirt-track training session. Marquez, who had a remarkable 2013 campaign to win the MotoGP title as a rookie, will need up to a month to recover, which should just about make him available for the 2014 season opener March 23 in Qatar. The Repsol Honda rider was brought to the Hospital Universitari Quirón Dexeus in Barcelona, Spain, for examiniation by Dr.
