Honda CL description

1974 H0NDA CL360 SCRAMBLER.

RUNS AND SHIFTS THROUGH ALL 6 GEARS.

NEEDS A PAINT JOB. HAS A FEW SMALL AREAS ON THE TANK THAT ARE VERY SHALLOW.TIRES APPEAR YO BE ORIGINAL BUT SHOULD BE REPLACED DUE TO CRACKING ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE HELD AIR FOR OVER A YEAR.

BIKE HAS BEEN GARAGED FOR ABOUT A YEAR. I PULLED IT OUT, PUT GAS IN IT AND PUT A NEW BATTERY ON IT AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I RODE IT TO THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY AND BACK AND IT SHIFTED THROUGH ALL 6 GEARS.

UPON CHECKING, ALL LIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS WORKED,HOWEVER THERE IS NO HORN.

SEAT LOOKS GOOD AND I CAN'T FIND A TEAR IN IT.

THERE IS THE NORMAL PITTING ON SOME OF THE CHROME INCLUDING THE FENDERS, BUT RUST IS MINIMAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW SPOKES.

THIS IS A 39 YEAR OLD MOTORCYCLE AND IS BEING SOLD "AS IS WITH NO WARANTY". IT WOULD NOT TAKE A LOT TO RESTORE A BIKE LIKE THIS, AS IT APPEARS TO BE SOLID. I HAVE NOT RIDDEN IT MORE THAN 10 MILES SINCE I BOUGHT IT 4 YEARS AGO SO THAT IS WHY I AM SELLING IT. I HAD PLANNED ON RESTORING THIS BIKE BUT THINGS JUST KEPT ME FROM GETTING TO IT AND IT HAS SAT IN MY GARRAGE SINCE THEN, AND I RECENTLY SOLD MY HOUSE AND LOST MY GARRAGE SPACE SO IT HAS BEEN MOVED TO A STORAGE UNIT. I NEED THE STORAGE UNIT SPACE SO IT MUST GO!!

"THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WILL NOT SHIP OR PAY FOR SHIPPING SO THAT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. I WILL MEET WITH YOUR SHIPPER TO HELP LOAD IT. SOLD AS IS - WHERE IS.

Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

Fri, 10 May 2013

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.

2013 Mugen Shinden Ni Electric Race Bike Revealed

Fri, 10 May 2013

Noted Honda tuning company Mugen has revealed the second generation version of its electric racebike which will race in the TT Zero at the 2013 Isle of Man TT. The Shinden Ni (“Shinden” meaning “God of Electricity” while “Ni” is the number two in Japanese) will once again be ridden by 19-time TT winner John McGuinness. Mugen has been working on the Shinden Ni since last year’s TT Zero, using data collected in the race and during tests at circuits in Japan.

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.
