Honda CL description

  • Selling my old high school Honda 450 scrambler bike from the 70's. I guess we were all Fonzie want -a-be's,  I am the second owner and purchased in 1974, the bike has been stored and ridden every so often , just time to let her go !
  • Would make a nice cafe' bike . All original engine has never been apart . It is titled as a 68 for some reason I do not know?   looks like a 70's model to me . My dad may have forgotten what bike he registered when he filled out the title. We had other Hondas that whre about the same years.
  • Has a new back tire , and   custom air filters . still have the old filter covers and elements.
  • Paint is not original.  Was candy apple red.
  • Tank was professionally cleand ( dipped and coated) and checked for leaks a few yrs ago , still looks good
  • carbs have some old gas in them that will need cleaning- one of the air mix screws is toast.I have extra carbs-parts that will go with the sale.
  • needs a new battery
  • front tire is ok but old ,since we had it.
  • horn,electic starter,lights hi-low , brake light, brakes, clutch, seat, tach,cables  all good !
  • speed ometer quite working .has new cable but it is in the gear head
  • when running last year it was fast , shifted smooth,
  • I've always kept fresh oil changes
  • Will help with delivery , payment in full is due before shipping , pay pal or cash preferred.  will be glad to answer any questions.  thanks for looking !

New: Venhill 888 fast-action twistgrips

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

CONTROL specialist Venhill has launched its new 888 range of bike-specific fast action twistgrips.  Supplied complete with the company's top of the range Featherlight cables, the kits are designed for a straightforward replacement of the factory-fitted equipment.  Bike-specific kits are now available for the Honda CBR600F, Kawasaki ZX-6R/ZX-10R, Suzuki GSX-R600/750, Triumph 675 Daytona and Yamaha R1/R6, among others, with prices from £105. Here's Venhill's description of the new product: "Manufactured with a robust CNC machined alloy body, the 888 fast action twistgrip provides a choice of two settings and is supplied with two rotors so that riders can select the throttle action that best suits the riding conditions.  Settings can be changed swiftly by undoing the two set screws securing the throttle body and changing the rotor. On the fastest setting there is 80° of rotation, (taking up 36mm of the cable), which is typically 45% faster than 'standard' throttles.

2022 Honda Navi Review – First Ride

Mon, 22 Nov 2021

From India with love, via Mexico Credit: Photos by Drew Ruiz Jeez, people, have we really gotten this crusty? After I posted a pic of the new Honda Navi on my Facebook a couple days ago (cause that’s how crusty I am) at its SoCal coming-out party, my old pals pounced. “A face, body, and everything only a mother could love”, “another Honda styled by tupperware.” “Ugly.

Teaser: 2012 Japanese Literbike Shootout – Video

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

The last time we assembled the superbike offerings from the Big Four Japanese manufacturers to determine the alpha male model was 2009. The CBR won that confrontation, but a lot’s changed since then. For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.
