Honda CL tech info
Honda CL description
It's a classic and all original (except rear oversized 4.00x18 tire) 1971 Honda CL 450.
One family owned and garaged all it's life, good shape for 45 years old. Comes with owner's manual, "Clymer Productions" service & repair handbook, original tool kit. It hasn't been driven on the road or licensed since 1991. New battery and all electrical system works fine. Gas tank was cleaned out and epoxy lined in 2002, has some rust & sediment in tank. Chrome has minor rust that can be removed with some TLC. Very minor scratches on paint. The motor runs but does not idle, carbs have never been rebuilt so may need that or a thorough cleaning. The clutch plates need to be cleaned or replaced...after sitting for a few years they tend to stick together. One front fork boot has a tear. Seat has two small tears along different seams. Hate to see it go but I'm getting too old to work on it and enjoy the freedom it offers. |
