Honda CBR description

1994 CBR400RR NC29 FIREBLADE. Rare Bike in North America. Japanese only model imported to UK, then to Canada. 4 cylinder 4 stroke beauty that makes around 65Hp. 17,500Km mileage. Beautifully engineered and top quality components of the day. 3 X previous mature owners (I have owed for over 2 X years: rode 1 X year in UK, and 1 X year in Canada). Bike maintained to very high standard. Has large scratch on Right Engine cover from falling over during maintenance. From same fall, has some minor scratches on right side mirror. Has a small circular scratch, about size of pencil eraser on lower right fairing (occurred during transport between UK and Canada). Right bar end has paint scratched off. Right throttle grip has small 1.0 inch cut. Never raced or dropped on road. In excellent mechanical condition. Had a full tune up conducted before leaving UK at BLADE HONDA of SWINDON, UK (Mr. Steve Godwin is aftersales manager). Mechanic who worked on it is a CBR400RR expert. Shop worked on bike between January to March of 2015 (They gave me a deal on labour leaving it with them for few months vice getting back right away). The bike was taken apart and fully inspected, cleaned and greased. This was a large investment on my part as I originally intended to keep this bike much longer. The Tune up also included: all liquids replaced and systems flushed, Carbs cleaned/synchronized/de-restricted (these models had restrictor plates to curtail HP, these have been removed to enjoy full HP), new battery, new spark plugs, valve clearances checked and adjusted, new brake pads front and back, new front tire, lots of rubber on rear, new chain and sprockets, Runs like new. There are Pictures included of this tune up. This is a very fun bike to ride. Handles very well. Its a little bigger than a 250cc machine but has performance of larger machine thanks to the 400cc engine. Great bike for new rider looking for unique/quality ride or for Collector looking for outstanding example of early 1990's exclusive Japanese machinery. Looks just like 3/4 version of early Honda CBR 900 models. Becoming collector item in Europe and in North America. Comes with front and rear paddock stands, shop manual (in English) and original owners manual in Japanese. Includes aftermarket Scorpion exhaust, but I have the original exhaust included in the sale. Other than exhaust, the bike is completely stock. No spares included in sale. Have British and Canadian paperwork. I just don't have time to ride anymore. Asking price of $5900.00 Canadian. Am willing to negotiate. Buyer responsible for pickup/delivery. Plated and registered in Province of Ontario, Canada. Serious Buyers only please, no test pilots. Call Derek in Ottawa at 613-836-3368.

Surely more wins are on the cards for Seeley and the 2011 Gixer?

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley  is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship.  He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.

Design Filings May Offer Clues to the Honda NX500

Tue, 10 May 2022

Africa Twin-inspired styling may be for an NX200 model Last week, we wrote about trademark filings that suggest Honda was working on a CL500 scrambler and an NX500 dual sport/adventure bike. We’ve now uncovered design filings that may offer a hint at what the NX500 may look like. However, the design itself isn’t for the NX500, which we expect to be powered by the same liquid-cooled 471cc Parallel-Twin used on multiple other models in Honda’s lineup.

Tire Life At The Isle Of Man + Video

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

If you’re like us, you never get enough Isle of Man videos. While the men and machines that fly around the course are nothing short of mesmerizing, let’s take a moment and talk about a crucial aspect of any race: the tires. In this Honda-supplied video, Dunlop technicians, along with 21-time TT winner, John McGuiness, talk about the challenges the Isle throws at tires.
