Honda CBR tech info

Honda CBR description
This is a light, responsive, very easy to drive motorcycle. It is very fun and corners beautifully. This is a sport bike with a more upright riding position than some other bikes. I included a stock photo of another CBR 500R ( a red one) so you can see the riding position.
I am the original owner and have driven it gently. I am very safety conscious, in my fifties, and the bike has never been raced or abused or crashed.
It has just been serviced at the Honda dealer (you can tell by the photo of the chain that it was just lubricated). Had oil change, full safety check, etc.
I have made the following improvements to the bike:
--Added R & G Tail Tidy to improve looks of the rear, around the license plate area.
--Added R & G muffler hanger and removed passenger pegs to clean up appearance.
--Added red Musarri muffler which changes the muffler note from the stock "sewing machine" to a deeper bass note without making it loud. In addition, the muffler has a baffle which can be easily removed with one screw, which would give the loud sound if desired.
--Added Kisan Signal Minder to enhance safety. This unit keeps the turn signals on as running lights and automatically turns off the turn signal if I forget to after making the turn and flashes the rear running lights a few times when the brakes are applied.
--Added very bright LED bulbs in the turn signal/running lights and rear tail light to increase visibility for safety.
--Added red reflector stripe on wheels to increase visibility and also enhance appearance.
Note: All OEM stock items that were removed will be included in the sale in case you want to return it to stock.

Dealer Expo 2010: Yoshimura R-77 Slip-On Exhaust
Mon, 15 Feb 2010Yoshimura is playing to the green movement with its new R-77 slip-on canister with integral catalytic converter. The version ready for the 2008-09 Honda CBR1000RR is claimed to be three pounds lighter than stock and offers a big bump in midrange power. Most importantly to the greenies, however, is that it produces fewer emissions than other performance mufflers.

A Weighty Issue
Mon, 03 Nov 2008For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.
