Honda CBR description
2013 HONDA CBR500R, The Next Step Up. With the introduction of the all-new CBR500R, Honda boldly redefines the middleweight class and infuses a whole new level of excitement for sport riders in search of superior value, along with great fun. The CBR500R delivers plenty of performance to sport riders, with its thoroughly modern, torquey 500 cc P-twin DOHC engine wrapped in a great-handling chassis and featuring a full fairing spawned from Hondas much-acclaimed CBR600RR and CBR1000RR sportbikes. The CBR500R features a full bodywork cowl and a 31-inch seat height. Its an excellent choice for riders ready to move up a displacement class, or for any rider whos looking for a light, sporting, do-it-all street machine.

It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!

More European Consumers Choosing Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Honda‘s work developing its second-generation dual clutch transmission appears to be paying off, at least in Europe. According to Honda, customers have purchased more than 12,500 units with DCT since the technology was first made available on a production motorcycle with the VFR1200F in 2010. The Japanese manufacturer now offers four models in Europe with optional DCT: the VFR1200F, the NC700X, the NC700S, and the Crosstourer.
