Honda CBR description

2013 Honda CBR 600RR Repsol Edition, 2013 Honda CBR600RR Better Than Ever Honda s CBR600RR has long been heralded as the best all-around 600-class sportbike the world has ever seen. A winner both on and off the track, it offers a perfect balance of high-revving power, precise handling, light weight, and a compact overall size. And for 2013 the best just got a whole lot better. We ve given the CBR600RR some major updates, including new 12-spoke wheels, revised ECU settings, and a fine-tuned ram-air system to increase torque. Best of all, the CBR600RR gets a new Big Piston fork and retuned rear shock. And it s all wrapped up in some sharp new bodywork. There s even a version with Honda s revolutionary Electronic Combined Anti-Lock Braking System (C-ABS), the first ever on a production Supersport motorcycle. Leading the Way into 2013 Honda sportbikes have always stood at the top, and the new 2013 CBR600RR is a perfect example of why they do: light weight, and refined, responsive handling. Add to that the CBR s amazing styling, and you can see that the CBR s versatility keeps it way ahead of the rest. New 12-Spoke Wheels With their consistent rigidity and balance, these sharp-looking 12-spoke cast aluminum wheels work with the new fork and enhances suspension feedback to deliver real handling improvements. Dual-Stage Fuel Injection For 2013 the Dual-Stage Fuel injection system was revised to achieve more low to mid range power. Two sets of injectors per cylinder ensure both low- and high-rpm performance. You get near instantaneous high-rpm response, along with great low-rpm metering and clean running. Dual-Stage Ram Air For 2013 the Ram Air funnel has been redesigned to improve torque over 7,000 rpm. Nose mounted, two-stage ram air system provides a high volume of cool air to the airbox, for linear power delivery and superb engine performance. Redesigned Tail Section with LED Tail Light For 2013, a new LED tail light sits above the exhaust for a more compact and functional design.
*SRP $11,990. Does not include $310 in destination charges.

New Honda Fury TV Spot is Scary [Video]

Thu, 28 May 2009

Ok, it’s not THAT new… Somehow it slipped passed me back in April.  I guess I was too busy watching people do wheelies on scooters. The new 2010 Honda Fury TV spot has a lot of quick edits of intense scenes including a shark jumping up at your face and various animals and people screaming at you.  Let’s not forget the dude getting punched in the face and people getting blown around by a tornado. Ya, it’s INTENSE and kind of scary.  You don’t see too much of the bike except for it standing stationary near the end.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.
