The heart and soul of this motorcycle remains the same 999cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with DOHC; four valves per cylinder valve train, a very powerful and compact powerplant fed through Honda s advanced Dual Stage Fuel Injection system. On the 2010 model year, the flywheel is larger for increased engine inertia. Developed in collaboration with Honda, and the Repsol Montesa Honda Trials team, it’s got a 259cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine designed to compete with smaller two-strokes while producing less emissions. There are two versions, the £5,699 standard 4RT260, aimed at amateur-to-advanced riders, and the more competition-focussed Factory Race Replica version, with Showa suspension, at £6,799.

Intermot 2012: Honda CB1100 Enters European Market
Wed, 03 Oct 2012As we expected, Honda announced it will bring its retro-styled CB1100 to Europe at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Previously only available in Japan and Australia, the CB1100 will be available in Europe for 2013, though there is still no sign it will ever be offered in North America. Though it sounds close in name to Honda‘s CB1000R, the two naked standards reflect two differing philosophies.
