Honda NC700S and NC700X Coming to Canada – US Availability Still Uncertain

American Honda has not included the recently revealed NC700S and NC700X models in its 2012 list of offerings, but it looks like the two motorcycles will be available in Canada. Honda Canada has not made an official announcement but a dealership in Kelowna, B.C., has published a press release that appears to have come directly from Honda Canada saying the two models will be available in Canada in the summer of 2012. The World Superbike Championship was off this past weekend but it looks like there will be some significant changes to the grid when the series resumes next weekend at Istanbul Park in Turkey. Veteran racer Toni Elias has quit his Moto2 team, reportedly to sign with the Red Devils Roma squad to ride the Aprilia RSV4 Factory for the remaining four rounds of the season. Elias will replace Michel Fabrizio who is reportedly unhappy with late payments from the team’s sponsors.

Honda Reports Q1 2013-2014 Results

Honda reported sales of 4.05 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2013, a 3.7% increase from the 3.91 million motorcycles sold in the same period last year. The increase in motorcycle sales resulted in 396.8 billion yen (US$4.04 billion) in sales revenue, a 14.4% increase on 346.6 billion yen in revenue reported in the same quarter the previous fiscal year. Overall, Honda‘s reported a combined revenue of 2.83 trillion yen from all its operations, a 398.1 billion yen improvement from last year.
