Team Aspar Announces Hayden Signing and Honda Production Racer

The Kentucky Kid, Nicky Hayden‘s signing with Jorge Martinez’s Team Aspar is now official, with the Spanish team finally confirming news many MotoGP followers were long expecting. Also expected was the announcement that Hayden will compete in the 2014 MotoGP Championship on Honda‘s new production racer (unofficially known as the RCV1000R.) “Thanks to everybody who helped make this happen & my fans still behind me. Intermot 2012: Honda CB1100 Enters European Market

As we expected, Honda announced it will bring its retro-styled CB1100 to Europe at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Previously only available in Japan and Australia, the CB1100 will be available in Europe for 2013, though there is still no sign it will ever be offered in North America. Though it sounds close in name to Honda‘s CB1000R, the two naked standards reflect two differing philosophies.

Redding Signs with Gresini to Ride Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer

Current Moto2 points leader Scott Redding has signed a two-year contract to race in the MotoGP class for the Go&Fun Honda Gresini team. The 20-year-old British rider will join Alvaro Bautista on the Gresini team riding the new Honda‘s new production racer the team reveals will be called the RCV1000R. Redding leads the Moto2 championship for the Marc van der Straten racing team with 167 points, a comfortable lead of 21 points ahead of Tuenti HP 40‘s Pol Espargaró with seven rounds to go.
