Honda CBR description

I have lowered the reserve price!!! I'm trying to sell this piece of art by the end of the month. Move fast and good luck bidding!!!

Send me an offer if you are really interested. I'm not even going to consider any low ball offers. This bike is in too good of condition to just throw it away.

Honda CBR 1000 RR. It's a 2006. The only scratches are listed in the pictures. Other than that it's a perfect bike. I just changed the oil with full synthetic and put a new Fram filter on it. The paint job is matte black plasti-dip. If you want, it will just peel right off and reveal the Honda gloss black. Any questions just hit me up and ask away. I'll throw it on a Uhaul and bring it to you if need be for an additional fee.

Also it has a power commander III installed in it from the previous owner. It provides a definite increase in power.

One thing that I did want to mention is that it has a brand new rear tire. It was just professionally installed yesterday on the 9th of August.

Thanks for looking.

Schwantz School, the ultimate track experience?

Mon, 22 Aug 2011

If having one-to-one instruction from an ex-MotoGP World Champion is your dream, then why not put the Schwantz School on your Christmas list for 2012. Ok, it’s in America and slightly more expensive than your average track day ($2750 for two days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) but many satisfied customers will argue this is the best rider training experience in the world. Your hard earned Dollar will see you alternate between the classroom and track from 8am until 4pm, then Kevin will take you on a track tour where he explains riding techniques and answers questions (he even drives the bus).

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Tue, 09 Oct 2012

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.
