Honda CBR description

Track Ready & head turner!

I’m selling this gorgeous Tahitian Blue Honda CBR 600RR. I’m the third owner but only for a short time. I took a couple years off from riding and this was an excellent way to get comfortable again without starting over on a stock 600cc bike.

The pictures do this bike no justice. She looks amazing, especially in direct sunlight and a true head turner. She has plenty of extras and internals to make her perform more like a 750/900 than a basic 600, with the comforts and weight of a true 600. Good second bike or possible first time rider with some level of riding experience. This bike is set up for true circuit racing with the luxury of legal street riding as well.

The bike has plenty of visual aesthetics in the form of plenty of carbon fiber and distinguishable parts and features. Other than the obvious massive amounts of carbon fiber other notable extras include true braided brake lines, custom matching paint, exhaust, 2 up 1 down sprockets, grips, levers, stator case covers, internals and the biggest gem is the BST (Blackstone TEK) complete carbon fiber rims. These rims are RARE and weigh close to nothing! This set of rims alone MSRP for $3395 new!

She has plenty of throttle left in her and is a must see and ride. Always covered or garage kept!New front tire is needed. I’ll also throw in the blue/white Icon jacket and Scorpion Helmet with the sale (both XL). I rode her for a little over half a season and ready to upgrade to a larger bike. Price is somewhat negotiable to get her to a new home but not much. Text or email me for details or to schedule a test drive.  Serious inquiries only please.

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

Quick Impressions on the Honda NT700V

Thu, 01 Oct 2009

UPDATE:  Read the full review of the 2010 Honda NT700V now on Motorcycle.com It should be obvious, but one of the perks of being in the business of evaluating motorcycles is the opportunity to see and ride a huge variety of bikes. Recently, while returning a CRF230M to American Honda’s main offices I spotted the new-to-the-U.S. NT700V sitting amongst the gaggle of bikes set aside for the moto media.
