Honda CB description

Honda CB450 K7 (1974)

- I have owned this for about 15 years - I rode it one time, drained all the fuel then stored it in the garage. As far as I can tell, it is completely original except for the handgrips, fuel petcock, fuel lines and battery. The original "Gold Seal" tires are still on and original stickers are still present around the bike. Factory paint marks are visible on some of the fasteners.

- First, the issues: (see pics) It has some minor tipover damage; clutch lever is bent, turn signals are lightly scuffed, the centerstand is slightly bent, so the bike does not sit perfectly vertical. The footpegs seem to be bent upward just a bit, especially the RH side. There is light staining around the fuel filler neck and on the tank trim piece RH side. There is a small loss of black paint on the front caliper. The small tab that holds down the cable at the frame neck has broken off... Please note: This is not a "museum quality" restoration, but a 39 year old bike in original condition - some light oxidation is present on the engine and frame.

- This bike is a very good runner. I went through the carbs completely - they are very clean as the bike was stored with no fuel. I de-rusted the tank due to light surface rust and replaced the fuel lines and the petcock with a K&L unit. The battery is new, the brake fluid is fresh and the oil has been changed. The bike starts quickly with the electric start or kickstart, idles smoothly, and carburetes smoothly at all throttle positions. All lights and horn function properly, and the charging system functions as it should. The seat is in excellent condition, free of rips or tears. This bike has always been stored inside, so the paint and gauge faces are bright with no sun fade.

Please let me know if you have any questions - I'll be happy to e-mail additional pics if requested.

2010 Honda Fury: New Honda Chopper Motorcycle?

Sun, 30 Nov 2008

UPDATE (May 19): Official 2010 Honda Fury Pricing UPDATE (Feb 27): The Honda Fury Review is finally here!!! Some may baulk at Honda’s description of the Fury as “radical.” Sure it’s not mind-blowing in the way a $60K custom can be, but it’s worth noting that not even Harley-Davidson has produced a bike with a rake angle so stretched or a wheelbase as long. So let’s admit that, for the normally staid Honda, the Fury is radical.
