First Look: Marotti Honda-engined trike

TAKE A HONDA VFR750 engine, a reverse trike chassis and some Batman-style aerodynamic bodywork and this is the result. Polish company Marotti have built this 100bhp prototype model using a 750cc Honda motorcycle engine. Ronax 500cc Two-Stroke Sportbike Coming June 8

German company Ronax GmbH is producing a limited edition street-legal two-stroke sportbike rumored to be based on the Honda NSR500 GP racebike. The company isn’t releasing much information but what little it has revealed about the Ronax 500 has certainly piqued our interest. What we do know for certain is the motorcycle will be powered by a 500cc two-stroke V-4 engine, which sounds like Honda’s racebike of yesteryear.

Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.
