Honda CB description

Up for auction is a beautiful 1983 CB1100f with 3,560 original documented miles! This bike was built for only ONE year! I am the third owner and have a clear title in my name.

The second owner bought it in 2009 with 3,200 miles on it and only drove it 300 miles in seven years. I have a copy of the title from the second owner documenting the miles. This bike is pristine condition and obviously fast.

The following was done by the second owner:
The bike was disassembled and frame sandblasted and repainted. The wiring harness was re-wrapped. All red paint was repainted and four coats of clear applied. Wheels look new and not sure if they were refinished. Works Performance rear shocks. Seat recovered. New chain but has original sprockets. Valves checked and new valve cover gasket. Honda CBR929 coil with wires for better spark. I also have the original coil. Both master cylinders and front and rear calipers rebuilt. Carbs have been jetted with adjustable needles.

The pictures does not show but a new set of Michelin Pilot Activ tires front and back.

V&H header was put on in 1983 by original owner and sounds GREAT! I have both original keys with one key still has plastic sleeve on it. I have the original center stand but it is off the bike. Feel free to ask any questions by email. Leave your number and I will call you back.

This bike is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction early. Happy Bidding!!

Wed, 06 Apr 2011

It's not every day you get to bomb around a field that was set aside for The Pope but that's exactly what we've done this morning; the first proper day of our Get On Africa adventure. We started the morning at the Riders for Health workshop where the mechanics took us through their setup and maintenance program for their bikes. The celebs ran through the basics of bike maintainance, the mechanic boasted that bikes never come back to the workshop broken, they just come in for scheduled servicing.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
