Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
This is a Honda CB550 converted to cafe racer. It has a clear CT title. I purchased it in good running condition but it needed a battery. Since then I have relocated the electrics and purchased a sealed upgraded battery also mounted in the seat. The frame has a fresh powdercoat black on it. The tank is a genuine metal 1960s Ducati although the petcock leaks and needs repair or replacing. The tank lid looks like a NOS ESSO with italian letters. It has original Honda mag wheels and new Metzeler tires. The metal seat is painted to match the tank but there are a couple chips, they probably can be fixed. All lights and electronics worked when I got it. I just relocated the electrics and wiring. It still needs some wiring, mostly soldering. I am busy and haven't had the time. There are a couple small bits of cylinder head cooling fin that were damaged although I still have them and they are repairable. It is a great looking bike but I don't have the time. I will include all items that came the bike when I purchased it. This is for local pickup or buyer arranges shipping.

2014 Honda Forza Scooter Gets CARB Approval
Fri, 19 Apr 2013The Honda NSS300 Forza scooter has received approval from the California Air Resources Board. The 279cc scooter was first announced at the 2012 EICMA show for the European market and Canada, and it looks like it will be available for sale in the U.S. The Forza still needs to get a certificate of conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency, but that should not be difficult after getting the O.K.
Intermot 2012: Honda CB1100 Enters European Market
Wed, 03 Oct 2012As we expected, Honda announced it will bring its retro-styled CB1100 to Europe at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. Previously only available in Japan and Australia, the CB1100 will be available in Europe for 2013, though there is still no sign it will ever be offered in North America. Though it sounds close in name to Honda‘s CB1000R, the two naked standards reflect two differing philosophies.
Rossi Wins at Assen, but Lorenzo Is the Hero; Alpinestars Releases Crash Data
Mon, 01 Jul 2013There’s only one thing left to say about Jorge Lorenzo’s 124 mph crash during a rainy practice session last Thursday while warming up for the TT Assen: It could have been a lot worse. The images are horrific, but thanks to groundbreaking protective gear, Lorenzo walked away with only a collarbone fracture and a heck of a tale to tell. Today, Alpinestars released a trace graph analysis of Lorenzo’s spill, thanks to data collected from his TechAir airbag suit.
