Honda CB description
THIS FEATURED 1981 HONDA 650 AND IDENTICAL PARTS BIKE WERE ACQUIRED A FEW YEARS AGO AND WAS INTENDED TO BE MY RETIREMENT PROJECT. NOT KNOWING THAT MOTOR WAS SEIZED WHEN I PURCHASED IT, I WAS PERSUADED TO REBUILD THE TOP END BY A BIKE MECHANIC FROM HELL.... AFTER 2000 MILES THE ENGINE LOST COMPRESSION IN ALL 4 CYLS. IT TURNED OUT THAT MECHANIC FROM HELL NEVER REPLACED PARTS THAT HE CHARGED ME FOR. HE BLAMED THAT ON HIS FORMER MECHANIC AND AGREED TO REPAIR IT CORRECTLY. HE SKIPPED TOWN LEAVING THE TOP END DISASSEMBLED. IN THE MEANTIME, I PURCHASED NEW MAC TURNOUT EXHAUST ($400), POLISHED ENGINE CASES AND VALVE COVERS , BRAND NEW TIRES WITH LESS THAN 100 MILES ON THEM ($300), AND AN IDENTICAL 81 CB PARTS BIKE WITH FRONT FORK DAMAGE WHICH I SUSPECT HAS A SEIZED MOTOR. EXTRA PARTS NOT SHOWN ARE NICE CAFE WINDSHIELD, 4 TO 1 EXHAUST WITH RUST AND SMALL HOLE ON BOTTOM. I HAVE NORTH OF $3000 INVESTED AND MY HEALTH AND PATIENCE ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TO CONTINUE WITH THIS PROJECT.... THOUGH IT IS A GREAT DEAL FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE CB CLASSICS... THERE IS MUCH POTENTIAL WITH THESE TWO BIKES....REBUILD TOP END ON ONE AND HAVE A SPARE FOR PARTS OR RESTORE BOTH.. I HAVE BOTH CLEAR TITLES. FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT 989 287 2004 (STEVE). THANKS FOR LOOKING.

14-Year-Old Canadian Stacey Nesbitt First Woman to Win a National Road Racing Title
Mon, 22 Aug 2011Quebec teenager Stacey Nesbitt has won the Canadian Superbike Championship’s 2011 Honda CBR125R Challenge title. We’re still checking, but organizers are already calling Nesbitt the first woman to win a national road racing championship (excluding women-only categories). The 14-year-old from St-Lazare, Quebec, swept both Honda CBR125R Challenge races in the season finale at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, to win the title with 421 points, 52 points ahead of runner-up Austin Shaw-O’Leary.
Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
