Honda CB description

Very nice 1980 CB900C in great condition with only 22.570 miles. When I bought the bike it had a different set of carbs and ran strong and smooth so there are no engine issues. The carbs presently on the bike have been disassembled and cleaned but it needs to be done again, only better. Bike is painted a 2014 Toyota color. Paint and chrome are excellent. The original seat has approx 2" of broken threading (see pic) but is otherwise in excellent condition. The tires are less than one year old and are like new. The CB1000 exhaust system has nice chrome except at the engine connections where it is dulled. No exhaust leaks. The "sissy" bar polishes up nicely and the padded back has no cracks or blemishes. Bike must be picked up by 12/15/16

Pros:
Excellent running engine
All chrome is very nice- Lights, mufflers, headlight ears, tail light, fenders, mirrors
Side cover emblems look new
Labels are nice
Black wheel paint intact and looks very good, however, rim edges have blemishes where balancing weights were previously located
All OEM parts
Tires are like new
Gas tank has been cleaned and coated inside
Battery is new

Cons:
Hard to start and rough running due to carb issues
Carbs need to be thoroughly cleaned again. OEM pump/primer is still in place (needs to be removed for better starting)
Speedo has 22,006 and is a replacement. Title dated 9/23/15 shows 22,070. I have ridden the bike approx 500 miles since then.
Shocks look excellent but could do a better job of holding air long term
Gas tank emblems have had black trim paint removed
Engine covers need to be polished
Bike must be picked up by 12/15/16

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Honda pulled the covers off a new streetbike series aimed at younger, shorter riders. The Honda CTX700 represents the first in a new series from Honda combining the three tenets of Comfort, Technology and Experience. It’s a platform “specifically engineered to make motorcycling more approachable, affordable and fun than ever before.” Our own Troy Siahaan is at the CTX700 models’ launch in Chicago and will have a full first-hand report next week, but for now here’s a quick look at Honda’s new streetbikes.
