Honda CB description

1980 Honda CB750K
I have priced this bike knowing its real value minus the cost of the couple of things it needs.
Here is the good, bad and the ugly
Here is the bad.
I changed out the air box to pod filters and it need to be jetted. I have been running with the choke up a little.
Like all old Hondas it doesn't charge well at low speed but everything is LED now so I don't have to use the charger that often. I will include it with the bike.
There is a small dent in the gas tank when I knocked it over and the handle bar hit it but the paint did not chip.
There is small oil leak on the top part of the engine by the #1 cylinder. I just ignore it because I'm not tearing down a 35 year old engine that is I otherwise perfect shape.
This is a 35 year old bike and there is some patina but no heavy rust no damage.
The good
I got the bike several years ago and never titled it. I have a clear blue Texas title that is signed but never filled in or dated. should be no problem to transfer.
The engine is strong and starts on the first push of the button.
The only permeant modification is that rear fender support is cut off to make space for the cafe tail section.
There are no cut wires on the bike I removed everything back to the plugs and anything new is wired back to the loom.
This is a fun and reliable cafe racer that need nothing to have fun with it.
The bike was used in a photo shoot for a French fashion magazine and I have a copies from the shoot.
Before I took off the speedo it had 14000 miles on it and I believe that to be true and i ride only about a 1000 a year.
The paint on the tank and side panels are original and I did my best to match that tail section. Its close and no one has ever noticed.
The seat pad is embroidered to match the check and I have extra striping that I will give you. It is also thin but this is a bar hopper anyway. I have the original seat in good shape that can still be bolted back on if you want to have a passenger. There are no passenger pegs.
The spoke wheels are true and the tires are in good shape.
Rear sprocket and chain is about 2 years old.
Rear sets work perfectly.
New headlight bucket.
I added an adjustable shift light and the oil and neutral lights are integrated into it for a clean look.
I pushed the front forks up and put the clip-ons on top for a more comfortable riding position.
There is a small charge indicator that is hidden under the fuse box.
All in one stop and tail light, license plate
Modern front brake master cylinder.
4 into 1 Mac exhaust that is nice and quiet.
