Honda Opening Fourth Motorcycle Factory in India
Wed, 05 Feb 2014Honda announced plans to open its fourth motorcycle manufacturing plant in India, with a production capacity of 1.2 million units per year. Honda is investing 11 billion Indian rupees (US$175.8 million) into the new facility which it hopes will strengthen the position of its subsidiary Honda Motorcycle Scooter India Ltd. as the world’s second largest motorcycle producer while taking aim at the current leader, Hero MotoCorp.
EICMA 2013: Returning 2014 Honda Models Announced
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Along with an all-new CTX1300 and CBR1000RR SP announced at the 2013 EICMA show, Honda announced several more models returning for 2014 with some minor updates and new color options. Several of these models, such as the 500 series and the Gold Wing F6B were only introduced last year, so they receive just a palette update, while other models like the NC700X return with minor tweaks. AMA Supercross: 2012 Arlington Results
Tue, 21 Feb 2012Defending champion Ryan Villopoto won his third consecutive AMA Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, but the victory was overshadowed by a season-ending injury suffered by one of his main challengers Chad Reed. TwoTwo Motorsport Honda‘s Reed trailed Villopoto in second place for the first six laps at Cowboys Stadium. Disaster struck on Lap 7 however as Reed crashed hard in the whoops.
