Honda CB description

Originally bought this bike to convert into a cafe racer just a little over a month ago, unfortunately I will no longer have time for this project since I'm going back into the Marine Corps. The gentlemen I bought this from lives in Minnesota; he bought it from the original owner from an estate sale. The bike is is in great condition, it starts up right away and rides like a dream. Super strong 750 cc engine. I've been looking for this model for a long time given that, it's an automatic. Very rare "Hondamatic" bike, let's you enjoy focusing on the sights and sounds of a beautiful summer ride! Keep in mind it is a 1977 Honda back when they made their engines from steel, not aluminum thus the bike it literally solid. Title is clear and ready to go to a good home.

See description from the original posting:

I finalized the sale on 06/22/16.

Bought this 1977 Cb750A Hondamatic from the estate of the original owner. Eng # CB750AE-7108717. It has 7842 miles on it. The color is candy sword blue. The bike had been sitting for the past 6 years. I cleaned the carbs the best I could and put in new spark plugs and a new battery. The bike started and I was able to ride for about 6 miles. The bike shifts just as it should. The bike is very cold blooded and it won't idle. It runs good at higher rpms. The inside of the gas tank is clean. There is a small dent on the left side of the gas tank above the 'N' in the honda emblem. Other small scuffs and scratches. The seat is in ok condtion with only a tear on the left side. There is surface rust in varies places. The exhaust looks solid but there is surface rust in places and I hear a exhaust leak on the right side. The rims look good. The back tire has good tread. The front tire will need replacement consideration. There is a scuff on the front fender. Everything seems to work fine.Dash light indicator works ok when shifting into drive. I have a clear title in my name. The bike still needs a good cleaning, some chrome polish and I think more carb cleaning and carb adjusting. Buyer is respondsible for picking up the bike or arranging all shipping. Selling AS IS with no guaranties. Ask questions and I'll answer the best I can.

When it’s minus nine outside, riding motorbikes should be the last thing on any sane person’s mind. Riding them off-road, nearly two thousand feet above sea level seems even more stoopid. But that’s where I was a week last Saturday.

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
