Honda CB description

Up for grabs is my 1976 cb750 cafe build. This was a bottom up rebuild with every part checked for tolerances or replaced with performance versions.

Upgrades include:
- 849cc big bore kit (cycle X)
- 849cc performance head (cycle x)
- Keihin CR29 Carburetors
- Performance street cam (.360 valve lift 270 degree duration)
- Performance head gasket - Cycle X performance clutch kit (designed for use with synthetic oils)
- Yoshi replica 4-1 exhaust (locally ceramic coated in silver)
- Custom one of a kind oil tank
- Steel braided high flow oil lines.
- New rims and spokes on Venom whitewall tires (Rear Harley rim on Honda Hub)
- Steel braided front brake line
- H4 halogen headlight
- New rear shocks
- AGM battery
- Rick's Regulator / Rectifier
- All Covers polished
- Car style ignition
- Tarrozzi rearseats
- All Balls steering head bearings
- New Fork Seals
- Custom cafe "U" seat loop
- White powder coated frame
- Custom paint and one of a kind pinup girl artwork
- Custom upholstered seat

Bike Runs strong and only has a little over 100 miles on it after rebuild. However, the bike does have a charging issue. I believe this is due to corroded wires coming from the stator to the regulator or the regulator itself. Either way a new regulator is $110 shipped and stators are all over ebay for 35-75 bucks.

I enjoyed building this thing a lot more then my back appreciates me riding it so I'm ready to part with it, make a reasonable offer.  Buyer pays shipping and delivery.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

MotoGP team Cardion AB announced it plans to field rider Karel Abraham in the 2014 Championship on Honda‘s new RC213V-based production racer. Cardion AB becomes the second MotoGP team to select Honda’s production racer. The Gresini Racing team will also use the Honda machine, which is no surprise considering the team’s history with Honda prototypes.
