Looks closely at the photos, what you see is exactly what you will receive. It WILL NEED WORK you can not ride it home. The bike DOES START with the help of starter fluid. The carbs will need to be rebuilt, or at least cleaned/dipped. The starter button does not work (the button itself) but starts off the kick starter or direct power. Starter is good. The right side cover has a small hole, high enough that there is still plenty of oil, but it needs to be replaced or repaired. Looks like the brake lever cracked it. Will need a battery, throttle cable (tight) and other minor things typical with restoring an older bike that has been sitting. One bag is cracked at the latch (the one that on in the photos) Both bags included. Missing front brake lever (I have one from another cb500 thats included) Overall its a very solid, very original starting point. Great candidate for a cafe build or restoration. TOO NICE TO PART OUT. Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
2014 Honda CRF250R Announced
Tue, 14 May 2013Honda has completely overhauled its CRF250R motocross bike for 2014, offering an all-new engine and an aluminum beam frame inherited from the CRF450R. With a claimed weight of 231 pounds, the 2014 model is actually 4 pounds heavier than the 2013 model, but the new updates are designed to improve mass centralization, with Honda claiming it to be more flickable and nimble than before. According to Honda, the new frame weighs 20.6 pounds, while the main frame spars meet the steering head lower than on the previous frame, helping lower the center of gravity.
