The carbs will need to be rebuilt, or at least cleaned/dipped. The starter button does not work (the button itself) but starts off the kick starter or direct power. Starter is good. The right side cover has a small hole, high enough that there is still plenty of oil, but it needs to be replaced or repaired. Looks like the brake lever cracked it. Will need a battery, throttle cable (tight) and other minor things typical with restoring an older bike that has been sitting. One bag is cracked at the latch (the one that on in the photos) Both bags included. Missing front brake lever (I have one from another cb500 thats included) Overall its a very solid, very original starting point. Great candidate for a cafe build or restoration. TOO NICE TO PART OUT. Honda Reports Q1 2013-2014 Results
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Honda reported sales of 4.05 million motorcycles over its first quarter ended June 30, 2013, a 3.7% increase from the 3.91 million motorcycles sold in the same period last year. The increase in motorcycle sales resulted in 396.8 billion yen (US$4.04 billion) in sales revenue, a 14.4% increase on 346.6 billion yen in revenue reported in the same quarter the previous fiscal year. Overall, Honda‘s reported a combined revenue of 2.83 trillion yen from all its operations, a 398.1 billion yen improvement from last year.

Wed, 06 Apr 2011It's not every day you get to bomb around a field that was set aside for The Pope but that's exactly what we've done this morning; the first proper day of our Get On Africa adventure. We started the morning at the Riders for Health workshop where the mechanics took us through their setup and maintenance program for their bikes. The celebs ran through the basics of bike maintainance, the mechanic boasted that bikes never come back to the workshop broken, they just come in for scheduled servicing.

Mon, 21 Feb 2011Last week we revealed that Honda are likely to launch the new Honda Motocompo - over 30 years since the first version. I must admit, I'd never heard of it before we ran the news story, so I got onto YouTube and tried to find footage of a very efficient and humble Japanese businessman unloading one out of the boot of a Honda Civic in order to minimise their carbon footprint, but no... I couldn't find one.
