I have a nice clean and running bike for sale. I think it's in great condition for its age... But will need some work to make it a nice reliable daily rider.
Starts easy and runs but seems to have a misfire that comes and goes. I have too many projects and I need to thin out my garage. I bought this from the second owner in the spring and I have the clean and clear title from when he bought it in '77 ! So far all I have done to it was drain out the old gas and put in fresh gas... And installed a new battery. I'm sure it's gonna need points, condensers, chain sprockets, tires... And all the other little things that it takes to get these old Hondas running like new again... Things I have noticed... Bars and seat cover are not original... Front brakes need pumping before they work...tach has been replaced... But it rides very nice and sounds great! I have the right side cover and tank emblem.. The side cover is badly cracked and probably garbage. |

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
1989 ex-Merkel Honda RC30
Tue, 11 Dec 2012This ex-Fred Markel RC30 is coming up for auction with Bonhams in Feb 2013. It's a special bike. Merkel won the American championship three years in a row for Honda but was let go after controverial allegations were rumoured.
