Honda CB description

Cycle magazine called the CB750, "the most sophisticated production bike ever", on the bike's introduction.Cycle World called it a masterpiece, highlighting Honda's painstaking durability testing, the bike's 120 mph (190 km/h) top speed, the fade-free braking, the comfortable ride, and excellent instrumentation. The CB750 was the first modern four-cylinder machine from a mainstream manufacturer, and the term superbike was coined to describe it. Adding to the bike's value were its electric starter, kill switch, dual mirrors, flashing turn signals, easily maintained valves, and overall smoothness and low vibration both under way and at a standstill.  This started the superbike craze which resulted in the 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, Kz1000, CBX and more!

THIS IS A RARE OPPERTUNITY TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY IN LIKE NEW CONDITION!  THIS SUPER EXTREMELY LOW MILES (ONLY 3512) HONDA CB750 STARTS, RUNS AND PERFORMS LIKE A NEW BIKE.  THIS HAS BEEN IN MY COLLECTION FOR MANY YEARS AND I PURCHASED IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER.  IT RUNS SO SMOOTH, SHIFTS THE NICEST OF ANY BIKE IN MY COLLECTION. YOU DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BIKE! THIS HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT MARKINGS ON MANY OF THE BOLTS WHEN CHECKED AT THE FACTORY, THE VIN TAG DOES NOT HAVE ANY WEAR FROM THE CABLES RUBBING, THE PAINT IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH VERY LITTLE FADING.  EVEN THE ENGINE AND POINTS COVERS ARE ORIGINAL.  WORK WE HAD PERFORMED WITH ALL OEM PARTS, REBUILT FRONT FORKS WITH NEW SEALS AND FORK COVERS, NEW GRIPS, NEW OEM STYLE TIRES AND TUBES, NEW CLUTCH DISKS, REBUILT CARBURETORS, AND NEW BATTERY.  THE HORN HAS TESTED GOOD BUT WHEN YOU PUSH THE BUTTON IT DOES NOT HONK. This is a 41 year old bike and has some very small dings or scratches.  Keep this in mind. very nice but not perfect!

Inside the gas tank is clean (like new) with no rust!

San Carlo Gresini To Field CRT Entry with Honda CBR1000RR Engine

Tue, 15 Nov 2011

The San Carlo Gresini race team announced it will compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship as a Claiming Rules Team with a Honda CBR1000RR engine in an FTR prototype chassis. The move is a late, but unfortunately necessary change from the team’s original plan to run the factory-level Honda RC213V racebike. The late Marco Simoncelli was tabbed to ride the newest version of Honda’s MotoGP machine next season, but after his tragic death, Gresini had to find another option if it wanted to continue racing.
