Honda CB tech info

Honda CB description
This motorcycle was sitting in a heated garage and not run since the early 1980's. The gas turned bad and rusted through the bottom of the gas tank from sitting so long. I found a tank perfectly clean on the inside and had the tank and side covers painted the original Sunrise Flake Orange. The paint is awesome with the original metal flake as from the factory. I had the carbs professionally gone through. It's tuned up and has a new maintenance free battery. Both tires are new. The mufflers are the originals and have no rust or rot. The seat is brand new old stock. Everything works, electric start, high and low beam, tail light, brake light, all indicator lights, instrument lights and the turn signal buzzer. The engine starts easy with electric or kick. It sounds nice and tight like it should with such low miles. There are no rattles or strange noises and no leaks. It runs out nice and shifts like it should through all the gears. The chrome is all exceptional including the rims. The spokes could be detailed some to make it more nice. I touched up the frame in a couple of places. Brakes work like they should. This awesome bike will not win a top show as it has not been a nut and bolt restoration. It was too original in my mind to go to that extreme. It will however win over your heart. I have had this bike about three years and only put 56.7 mile on it so I have decided to sell it. Current title and registration in my name. Feel free to contact me through Ebay if you would like to view the bike in person during the auction. I am in Dubuque, Iowa. When is the last time you saw a 750 Honda with such low miles? Don's miss the chance to own a super bike in excellent condition with unheard of low miles. I will not crate to ship overseas.

Honda’s V-4 History
Tue, 06 Oct 2009As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!
Start the ultimate project bike
Wed, 17 Nov 2010The base for the ultimate project bike have appeared online, a Honda RC211V. The adverts consist of the supposedly the frame from Valentino Rossi's championship dominating machine from 2003 on eBay and a frame that comes complete with the sexy V5 engine. The eBay listing is currently at $510 and is literally an incomplete frame with the ad stating that it is the 'unfinished basis of replacement RC211V frame, all made in aluminium with CNC machined parts & high quality welding', the bidding is still under the reserve set by the user.
