Honda CB description

Up for auction is my 1972 Honda cb 750 chopper. The bike is completely custom with a hand built hardtail frame and custom tig welded stainless forward controls. The motor, rear hub/sprocket, and forks are the only parts used from the original bike along with the title. As you can see, the bike has extended fork tubes. The rear hub is mated to a chrome 16" wheel/tire. I had a custom front axle machined to accept a 21" mini-drum Harley wheel. The tires are like new. The bike has a professional candy apple red paint job. It has a nick or two from being ridden.

The bike runs awesome. Carburetors are tuned great and have no problems. It has the best digital ignition the you can buy from CycleX that has 4 different timing curves that you can switch between. It runs flawlessly with zero hesitation. It has electric and kick start, both work well.

I don't know of anything the bike needs except to be driven more. It runs straight as an arrow down the road. I had it out only twice this year so apparently I don't need it very bad.

Any questions? Call or text 573-535-8675.  The pictures I took don't do this bike justice.  It's an awesome bike that has a lot of custom fabrication you will not find on another bike.

Feel free to come look at the bike.  No warranties expressed or implied.  By bidding, you are entering into a binding and legal contract and are expected to follow through.  I can help deliver within 200 miles at a small fee to cover fuel.  Bike will be paid in full before leaving my place.  Bike is for sale locally and the auction may end early if it sells.  Thanks.

Awesome Anaheim Supercross

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

The highlight of this winter has to be my visit to last week’s Anaheim Californian Supercross.  I’ve followed this spectacular series on Motors TV but the atmosphere while watching the action live is something else. Forty five Yankee dollars gets you a good seat high in the stadium, with practice starting at 12.30pm and the main event kicking off at 7.30pm. If you are making a day of it however, I’d recommend buying a pit pass then you can get in full anorak mode to hassle the teams and riders for autographs and photos.  We conveniently made some new friends allowing us to do some pre event ‘tail gating’, a great concept which is basically barbecuing and downing beer around your vehicle in the surrounding car parks.  The evening race schedule is four hours of nonstop action starting with the capacity crowd standing for the American national anthem sung by a stunning blonde with a huge voice.

Team HRC CRF450 Rally Prototype Video

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch. Honda returned to the Dakar Rally for the first time in 24 years in January 2013.

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Miguel Duhamel is returning to action to race in the FIM e-Power International Championship for Lightning Motorcycles. The five-time Daytona 200 winner will ride the Lightning Barracuda electric motorcycle for the joint FIM and TTXGP race at Le Mans , and Motorcycle.com had a role in setting up the connection. The topic of a rider for Le Mans came up during the preparations for Associate Editor Troy Siahaan‘s exclusive test of the Lightning race bike last month.
