Honda CB description

Up for sale is my super low mileage 1972 Candy Gold Honda CB750 - Build date 10/71

Only 8,280 miles on her.

This bike runs very well, and I wouldn't hesitate to ride her anywhere. Just last weekend I did a 300+ mile ride with her, and she ran like a top. Starts up cold no problem and doesn’t even need choke. It actually still surprises me how easily she starts up.

Check out the video of her running:

All new work listed was done within the last 6 months:

- A new, professional (like… it’s REALLY good) paint job on the tank and side panels. It is matched to the original color (Candy Gold). Even the new decals have clear coat laid over them. It’s fantastic.

- Interior of tank was sealed

- New side panel emblems (“750four” and Honda symbol)

- New grips

- Carbs were gone through

- Carbs synched

- New tires (Avon Roadriders - 2 weeks old)

- Dyna Electronic Ignition

- Spark Plugs

- New fuse box

- New chain and sprockets

- New brake fluid

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Original black paint on frame is showing its age

- Minor surface rust on exhaust

- There is a small dent on the front fender and on one header.

- Just last week the low beam stopped working, but high beam works just fine

A non-refundable deposit of $500 via PayPal is due immediately after purchase. The remaining balance must be paid by either wire transfer, cashier's check, or cash within 7 days.

I reserve the right to end this auction early, as this is posted for sale on other formats. This motorcycle is sold as-is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping, but I'm happy to coordinate with shipper (and have done so before - easy peasy).

In short, she’s been a wonderful bike, and I hope the next owner will enjoy her like I have. Please gimme a ring at 816-309-3351 if you have any questions, need any more photos emailed, or would like to purchase “Honey Bee”.

Cheers!

Moriwaki MD250 - the stink wheel eradicator

Tue, 31 Aug 2010

This beautiful motorcycle is the Moriwaki MD250 road racer, the replacement for 125cc two-strokes in MotoGP come 2012. The alloy beam chassis houses Honda’s diminutive CRF250X uni-cam motor, normally seen wearing long travel suspension and knobbly tyres. The quick revving liquid cooled four-stroke motor offers electric-start convenience and a maintenance schedule that most two-stroke racers can only dream of.

Honda CTX1300 Spotted During Film Shoot

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Last month, we were one of the first to report on these leaked documents listing several upcoming Honda models, including one CTX1300. These images of the Honda CTX1300 were taken during the bike’s promotional filming on a motorcycle that looks to be production-ready. With a body style closely resembling that of the smaller displacement CTX700, the major, and most obvious, difference with the 1300 is the larger, 1261cc engine, believed to be sourced from Honda’s sport-touring stalwart, the ST1300.

Isle of Man TT 2012: Sidecar TT Race 1 Results

Mon, 04 Jun 2012

Dave Molyneux won his 15th career Isle of Man TT race with a victory in the first Sure Sidecar TT race of the 2012 festival. The win comes in Molyneux’s return to the Isle of Man TT after sitting out last year’s competition. By far the most successful Sidecar racer in TT history Molyneux is third overall among riders in any class, behind Joey Dunlop (26) and John McGuinness (18).
