Honda CB description

***Attention Honda Collectors***

1972 Honda CB750-ONE OWNER!!

Historically:

Up for auction is this 1972 Honda CB750-Four .

A little history lesson on the model.  If you are bidding, YOU ALREADY KNOW.

The incomparable Honda CB750-Four, introduced in 1969, is considered by most in the cycle world as the bike that changed the world culture of motorcycling.  I remember being a kid and seeing these bikes on the road and they were some of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen even to this date.   Loud and mean, smooth as silk, and fast enough to outrun the headlights, these old motorcycles took the world by storm and weren’t even challenged until 1973.

Cosmetically:  All of the chrome is good t if you want a show bike, you may want to consider rechroming them.  I love them as they are because they are original onlly once. . The inside of the fuel tank has been coated.  The gas tank was stripped down to the bare metal and found to be in excellent condition.  With only minor surface preparation, the tank, and side covers were professionally painted with Sunflake Orange Metallic, new stripes installed, and six coats of candy-clear to give the old Honda that factory-fresh look.  The Continental tires are all new front and rear.  The seat is soft and plush with not even the slightest blemish.  This bike comes with the original owners manual and tool kit as well as the original Honda wiring diagram in 5 different layouts.  The original owner removed the front turn signals from the bike, rear ones come on when activated so i am sure these will work.  The horn button will need replaced.  The exhaust is very solid with no holes or rust and only minor patina from riding it 18000 miles.  The pipes LOOK and SOUND great and still have the original baffles!!!

Mechanically:  I just took her out for an exercise session.  This beast runs like its BRAND NEW, no kidding!  It will pull from 20mph in 3rd gear without the slightest blip.  And..., it absolutely flies!  Definitely one of the finest running examples I have had the pleasure of riding.  I would bet that you could get on this thing right now and ride it coast to coast without an issue.  Its incredibly smooth, throttle response is immediate, everything is in sync as it should be, its very comfortable to ride, and it looks and sounds phenomenal!  If you are looking for an incredibley smooth running and riding motorcycle, look no further!  Riding down the road it goes through all of the gears great, the clutch still has plenty of give, and she sounds awesome.

Feel free to email with any questions and you are also welcome to come and see the bike by appointment here in Mercer, Pa.

All shipping cost are the responsibility of the buyer!  I accept paypal for payment!  If you pay via money order or bank check, you must wait at least eleven days for the check or money order to clear.  I will release the bike once this occurs.  If you pay using a U.S. POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDER, I will release the bike as soon as I cash the money order.  The winning bidder must contact me immediately to set up payment and shipping arrangements.  Once full payment is received, I will release the bike to the shipper.  I highly recommend going through Steel Horse Transports out of New York as they have covered wagons and are very reliable, fast, inexpensive, and easy to deal with.

I am not desperate to sell, am not a dealer, I don't do this for a living, I'm an enthusiast.  If you'd like any detailed photos of a specific area of the bike, just ask! I have many photos of it but will be glad to take more if needed. Please ask any questions you like before bidding. You will be answered quickly and honestly. I will not sugarcoat anything for the sake of a few extra dollars and am not in the business to screw anyone. With all the bikes I own or have owned over the years, I know how disappointing it is when someone over-sells a bikes condition so you may be sure I won't do that to you. I have disclosed and will gladly provide photos of all known defects for your inspection.  This is an AWESOME motorcycle and I will not be disappointed if she doesn’t sell!

Contact Bill Hummel for shipping at 724-599-9264

You are welcome and encouraged to personally inspect the bike and test drive it prior to bidding.

Although this bike is sold "As Is" and "Without Warranty", I want you to be happy and I will do anything within reason to see that you are. Thank you and good luck!

If you have any questions, please ask them now before you bid or buy!  I reserve the right to end this auction at any time in order to sell this item locally as well.

However, once reserve has been met, the bike will go to the highest bidder here on ebay!

Good Luck!

NR750 owners should require approval

Mon, 14 Jun 2010

Words can't express the absolute disbelief of this strangely attired guy trying to ride one of the rarest motorcycles every to grace tarmac. But this clip descends in to absurdity when the rider fumbles setting off on the Honda NR750 and drops the oval-pistoned beauty on its side. Did he stall it or is there a disc lock hidden within the pixilated video?

McGuinness' Guinness 'Blade at Lancaster Honda

Tue, 10 Aug 2010

That picture is of John McGuinness' actual 'Guinness Rep' Fireblade. The bike is on show at Lancaster Honda. The 15 times TT winner has been (quite rightly!) given this 'Blade by Honda, but you can order one for yourself.

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
