Honda CB description

This is a 1971 Honda CB750. It is titled as a 1972, but based on the VIN, it is a 1971. The engine number is very close to the frame number, so it is likely the original engine.  I have a clean and clear title in my name for this bike.  This bike is original and unrestored, but in very nice condition.  It has been well gone through with all new gaskets in the engine, new fork seals, new tapered steering bearings, rebuilt swingarm, cleaned carbs, as well as other basic maintenance.  The bike runs well, shifts well, and rides smooth. The brakes work and all of the electrics works. It starts right up with either the electric or kick start.  The tires are also in good shape.  The mileage shows 16430, but I cannot verify if that is correct.  The tool kit is included with the bike as well as the stock handle bars.  This is a nice bike that is ready to go.

While I have described the bike to the best of my abilities, I am not a professional mechanic.  Therefore, this listing is subject to inadvertent errors and omissions.  I welcome and encourage all prospective buyers to come and check out the bike in person and inspect it prior to bidding.  Please look closely at all the pictures on a desktop computer to best see the condition.  The bike is being sold 'as is' with no warranty or guarantees. By bidding on the bike, you agree that this motorcycle does not come with any warranties, either expressed or implied. The buyer is offered the opportunity to examine the motorcycle in person or by representative if they choose, to ascertain if the condition of said motorcycle meets the buyer's standards. The buyer releases the seller from any liability with regards to this motorcycle and accepts it in "as is" condition, including the possible existence of unknown latent defects.  The bike can be shipped world wide at the expense of the buyer.  All shipping arrangements are to be made by the buyer after full payment is received and cleared into my account.  Full payment is due within 5 days. Please ask questions, if you have any, before bidding.
Thanks for looking!

Having a Randy Mamola moment

Thu, 10 May 2012

Back in 1985 Randy Mamola was captured on film performing the most miraculous save of all time, hanging on for dear life as his Honda NSR500 tried to fling him from his seat. Recently, we've seen some impromptu homages to the original with Jonathan Rea at Assen and the near-save from Jakub Kornfeil in the Moto3 race at Jerez. Now we have on-board footage of American racer Genki Hagata calming a high-side at the Infineon Raceway in California.

Honda RC-E Electric Sportbike Revealed at 2011 Tokyo Motor Show

Wed, 30 Nov 2011

We’re still waiting for any technical details but here are initial photographs Honda has released of its new RC-E electric sportbike concept at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. (Updated with six more high-resolution images.) Honda describes the RC-E as an electric version of a supersports bike, claiming a powerful and smooth ride for an electric vehicle within the compact form of a 250cc-class motorcycle. The images clearly show Brembo calipers and Ohlins suspension, and we especially like the LED headlights and the retro styling.
