Honda CB description
Here is a 1970 Honda CB350 cafe brat build aka 'The Patina Machina'
We decided to take a slightly different approach on this one as you can see we cleaned and cleared the amazing patina the past 46 years has left on this bike. So... it does have some rust which in this case just adds to the beauty. Also all bare metal has been clear coated to prevent further rust. The bike has been gone through including but not limited to:
Electric start works as it should and fires the motor almost instantly. The kicker however does not engage every time, though with a bit of finesse work fine. Has high/low beam, tail and brake lights. no signals installed. Also note in the last photo there is a piece missing at a lower motor mount, does not affect anything, does not come loose, just want to be sure you know what you are getting. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Bike is located in Elbridge, NY 13060 I am willing to arrange delivery, can typically ship anywhere in the u.s for $650 or less depending on your location. Contact to discuss. Deposit due within 24 hours. Balance within 7 days. UNLESS other arrangements are made prior to end of auction. NOTE: if you have less than (10) feedback please contact me prior to placing a bid. Thanks for looking and good luck if you decide to bid. |

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture
Wed, 04 Apr 2012How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.
2010 Honda Fury: New Honda Chopper Motorcycle?
Sun, 30 Nov 2008UPDATE (May 19): Official 2010 Honda Fury Pricing UPDATE (Feb 27): The Honda Fury Review is finally here!!! Some may baulk at Honda’s description of the Fury as “radical.” Sure it’s not mind-blowing in the way a $60K custom can be, but it’s worth noting that not even Harley-Davidson has produced a bike with a rake angle so stretched or a wheelbase as long. So let’s admit that, for the normally staid Honda, the Fury is radical.
