Solid bike, Rebuilt the engine in 2011 by Berkshire Motorcycles in Goshen, MA.
-New Pistons
-New Valves
-New Cam Chains
-New Cam Chain Tensioners
-New Gaskets
-New Fork Seals

Rebuilt the carbs last Fall. Wiring is solid. ELECTRIC STARTER WORKS! Only rode this for one year, thought I'd ride it again this year but my knees are shot.

The headlamp has a small bend in the chrome and the front rim has a small flatspot. A few of the spokes are rusty and there are some rust spots on the muffler. Needs a new speedo cable.

When I bought the bike in 2010. I researched the color and apparently there were a few of them that were sold with an all black color variation. I pulled off some of the rear tail light and there does not appear to be any gray/silver paint underneath. So I think this may be one of the all black models.

Bike runs solid and there aren't any known mechanical problems.

Right now I have clubman bars but I also have a set of street bars with it. Also comes with an original copy of the owner manual.

Feel free to zap me any questions...

The most beautiful race bike ever?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

It was good to see my old HRC team mate Shinichi Itoh making his final Moto GP appearance last weekend at Motegi.  At 44 he was a bit off the pace compared to his younger team mates, but that didn't matter as it was a joy just to see him circulating on what I reckon is most stunning GP bike ever. And I gladly braved the pit lane walkabout chaos just to dribble and take a few snaps. Unfortunately he lost the front in one session trashing a complete set of body work but was back in action on race day to grab a few world championship points.

Pata Honda Replica Onesies for Leon Haslam’s and Jonathan Rea’s New Babies

Fri, 02 Aug 2013

World Superbike teammates Leon Haslam and Jonathan Rea and their wives are expecting babies with their respective wives in the next few weeks, so the Pata Honda team presented its riders with a special gift: onesies replicating the team’s racing leathers. Tatia and Jonathan Rea are expecting their first child in September while Olivia and Leon Haslam are expecting their second child any day now. Rea’s baby will have a replica of daddy’s Alpinestars racing suit with all of his sponsors and his butt patch.

Do you remember Honda's EVO Blade?

Thu, 05 May 2011

I can remember exactly where I was when I first saw Honda's TT100 Evolution Fireblade: at the dinner table, reading MCN as a 16-year old lad and being told to put the paper down and get on with my dinner! I'm sure you appreciate why the lamb chops had to wait.. It was created by Honda to celebrate their 100th TT victory, however I'm pretty sure Honda had another agenda: to homologate it so they could put it up against the mighty new Yamaha R1 at the TT.
