Honda CA description

1960 HONDA CA95. ORIGINAL, UNRESTORED BIKE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, RUNS AND RIDES GREAT, CLEAN CLEAR PA TITLE IN MY NAME, AMCA SENIOR 1st PLACE WINNER (ORIGINAL CATAGORY). PINK PAINT IS ORIGINAL AS ARE THE HONDALINE VINYL SADDLEBAGS, AND LUGGAGE RACK. MANY EARLY HONDA FEATURES:

  • CONVEX REARVIEW MIRRORS
  • STAR CUT CABLE ADJUSTERS
  • BRASS NAME TAG ON ENGINE
  • BENLY TANK BADGES
  • CHROMED BRAKE HUB LEVERS
  • SPLIT CROWNED HARDWARE
  • YAZAKI SPEEDOMETER
  • SMALL SIZED TAIL LIGHT
  • SHORT FENDER STRUTS
  • NO HONDA BADGING

I'M SURE THAT I'M FOORGETING OTHER THINGS, BUT IT'S AN ALL ORIGINAL 1960 HONDA. TAG ON WIRING HARNESS READS 1/60 (JAN 1960), SO IT'S AN EARLY 1960 MODEL. BIKE HAS BEEN PERSERVED, CHROME ON THE WHEEELS, EXHAUST, AND ON SOME OTHER SPOTS THAT WAS TO BADLY RUSTED WAS PAINTED OVER WITH SILVER PAINT, THIS IS A MINOR DEDUCTION IN AMCA JUDGING (1/2 POINT) BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED PRESERVATION, AND IS REVERSABLE. VIN IS A010173, ENGINE NUMBER IS CA95E A010178, OFF BY ONLY 5 NUMBERS, VERY EARLY.

BIKE RUNS AND RIDES GREAT, BOTH 6 VOLT ELECTRIC START AND KICKER WORK AS THEY SHOULD, TRANS IS STRONG. BIKE SMOKES WHEN COLD, BUT CLEANS UP REALLY NICELY ONCE WARMED UP, EVERYTHING WORKS. TIRES AND BATTERY WERE REPLACED DURING THE PERSERVATION AND ARE STILL IN LIKE NEW CONDITION. INCLUDES ORIGINAL IGNITION KEY. BIKE DOES NOT BURN OR LEAK ANY OIL.

BIKE SHOWS NORMALLY EXPECTED PATINA FOR AN UNRESTORED 1960 HONDA MOTORCYCLE, THIS BIKE MUST BE KEPT ORIGINAL, THERE JUST AREN'T TOO MANY ORIGINAL, RUNNING, UNRESTORED 1960 HONDAS LEFT, ESPECIALY IN "TOKYO ROSE" PASSIONATE PINK FACTORY ORIGINAL PAINT.

BIKE IS CURRENLY REGISTERED, INSURED, FULLY STREET LEGAL, AND I RUN IT AROUND MY NEIGHBORHOOD ABOUT ONCE A MONTH TO KEEP IT IN GOOD NICK.

RESERVE IS VERY REASONABLE, AND THOUSANDS BELOW WHAT I PUT INTO IT.

SOME OF THE PICTURES ARE FROM BEFORE THE PRESERVATION WAS COMPLETED, I THINK YOU'LL BE ABLE TO TELL WHICH ONES.

Honda CTX1300 Spotted During Film Shoot

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Last month, we were one of the first to report on these leaked documents listing several upcoming Honda models, including one CTX1300. These images of the Honda CTX1300 were taken during the bike’s promotional filming on a motorcycle that looks to be production-ready. With a body style closely resembling that of the smaller displacement CTX700, the major, and most obvious, difference with the 1300 is the larger, 1261cc engine, believed to be sourced from Honda’s sport-touring stalwart, the ST1300.

Happy 50th Hizzy

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

On the 11th January 1962, Steve Hislop was born in Hawick, Scotland. Today would have been his 50th birthday, but he was tragically killed in a helicopter accident in 2003. Hizzy was a genius on a motorbike and when he was happy with everything around him, he was amongst the best in the world.

Fri, 25 Apr 2014

After a successful 2013 campaign in the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where Honda’s own Jeff Tigert won the Pikes Peak 450 class and set a new record, Honda is stepping up its involvement for 2014, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in seven distinct race classes. In addition, Honda will be working with the AMA and the Pikes Peak sanctioning body on improvements which will provide new levels of safety to the Motorcycle / ATV / UTV / Sidecar competitors.
