Honda XR description

I purchased this bike new in 2008 from my local Honda dealer. I used the bike for commuting back and forth to work when gas prices were over $4.00 per gallon. A larger Clark 4.2 gas tank was installed and all the smog equipment removed and the carburetor rejetted. With the larger tank the range is now about 200 mile while getting 48-50 MPG. Also installed was a XR-Only suspension lowering link, rear rack and Wolfman luggage. Included with the bike is the new take off gas tank, stock suspension link and all the smog stuff.

This bike has been regularly serviced and runs great. All the lights, brakes, and engine works great with no oil leaks. New tires were recently installed and have less than 100 miles on them. I never used this as a dirt bike and unbelievable as it may seem, HAS NEVER BEEN DROPPED. The bike is ready to ride on or off road.

The only issue with the bike is cosmetic with strap mark on the seat and muffler from the Wolfman luggage. There are some scratches in the plastic side covers from the luggage strap buckles and marks on the muffler. These don't show up very well on the photos so I though I would mention them. The Wolfman luggage is included with the bike and fits really well and holds a lot of stuff.     !! THE BIKE HAS NEVER BEEN DROPPED !!

Clear title in my name and the registration is paid up till April 2017

2023 Honda SCL500 Review – First Ride

Mon, 28 Aug 2023

A peppy mid-sized scrambler with plenty of range and iconic style, that is sure to attract new and seasoned riders alike Photographer Drew Ruiz Just when you thought Honda couldn’t possibly add something new and different to its middle-range moto lineup, it surprises us with a reiteration of a previous cult classic, the CL350, best known for paving the way for the Baja 1000 back in the 70’s. This modern version of the peppy lightweight scrambler has all the goodies of Honda’s current offerings, with all the style of the paired down desert racers of the past. 2023 Honda SCL500 The SCL500 is a mid-sized scrambler-style bike that is light, approachable with plenty of get up and go on the highways or in the canyons.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
