Honda Valkyrie description

I am selling my 1999 Honda Valkyrie; I have owned it for 6 years and I am the second owner.  It has just over 17,000 miles; I have put 5000 miles on it since I have owned it.  It runs great and has never given me any trouble; it goes down the road very nicely - no hesitations, no vibrations.  The bike has always been adult owned and operated, and has never been raced, dropped, modified, or abused.

The battery was replaced 2 or 3 years ago, and so was the front tire at about the same time.  The paint is in very good condition, with only a couple of small dings that one would basically have to look for in order to notice.  The chrome is all in very nice shape with no rust or pitting.  There are no leaks at all.  Lights all work as they should.  The left side cover (chromed plastic) has an issue with one of the hidden snaps, - it currently has some clear tape holding it on.  The original yellow side covers will be included with the bike; the rear back rest/sissy bar is also included, along with some other misc. parts.

Although this motorcycle is in very nice condition, I offer no guarantees at all.  Shipping is up to the buyer.  If you need further information or additional pictures, please let me know.

Intermot 2012: Honda CRF450 Rally Unveiled

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
