Absolutely flawless 2008 Honda VTX1800F3 (Spec 3) motorcycle with many extras. Someone is going to get the deal of the century on this amazing motorcycle! Always parked in a garage with a motorcycle cover. Black color. Owned by a mature and meticulous rider. Never dropped or ever seen a single drop of rain. Low mileage, meticulously serviced, pampered motorcycle. Properly ridden short distances (not too short) year round as a matter of routine to keep everything in tip top mechanical condition. Engine always brought up to full operating temperature whenever it has been started by riding the bike ~7-10 miles afterwards. Engine never cold-started and then gunned to impress bystanders. Amazing HP, torque, and power delivery curve. Great touring machine and terrific on the highway. Always stored with a full tank of stabilized fuel and connected to a Battery Tender. 2014 Honda CTX700 Recalled in Canada for ABS Issue
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the new Honda CTX700 because of a manufacturing error in its anti-lock braking system. The Canadian recall applies to both the CTX700N and the partially-faired CTX700T (known simply as the Honda CTX700 in the U.S. market and other markets.) According to the recall notice, the ABS modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could potentially fail, allowing the front and/or rear wheels to lock up under heavy braking, increasing the risk of a crash.
Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
