Honda VTX description

• This bike has been always garaged and fully maintained - this bike truly looks brand new!
• This bike has the Dynojet PowerCommander and runs great, but the top-of-the-line SPEC 3 finish is what makes this bike stand out.
• AND the Bub exhaust makes this bike sound as good as it looks!
• The Memphis Shades quick-release windshield is a nice addition.
• This bike has lots of added chrome because it is a SPEC 3 plus a sissy bar with back rest and Kuryakyn grips & pegs front and rear.

• Shaft-drive is ultra reliable with almost no maintenance.
• Liquid cooling means this bike runs cool in the summer.
• Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) for instant starts, no choke, AND no maintenance.
• This 2005 VTX 1800 F SPEC 3 is a stunner with about 17450 miles.
• The title is clear and ready to transfer with the owner's manual and two keys.

The Honda VTX 1800 is a very powerful motorcycle. The F model adds an LCD tachometer, digital speedometer, 18" sport wheels (front and back), and LED tail lights to the basic C model.  If you want a great looking and riding VTX 1800, the F model is the one you want!  PLUS this bike is a  SPEC 3 which means in addition to all of the above, the forks are chromed as are the wheels and hand levers.  Plus the cylinder fins are milled to make this bike truly stand out.  SPEC 3 models are rare because they are expensive, but this one is priced right.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.
