Honda Shadow description
This is a 1987 Honda Shadow VT1100C. The bike runs and rides great. It does however pop on deceleration. The previous owner installed cobra pipes without re-jetting. And i never changed them either. The bike gets roughly 45mpg, I have made a few long runs on it this past summer. I did install a Boss Audio that hooks to your phone, ipod, mp3 player and it sounds really good even at 80mph. Sun, 22 May 2022Here at modern MO, we probably wouldn’t publish a road test of a new Honda without a few photos of the thing in action. Twenty years ago, though, there was probably a perfectly reasonable-sounding excuse: My dog ate the film, a bear ate the photographer… Most probably, somebody slud the shiny new Honda 919 down the road on the way to the shoot, and the show had to go on. Who knows?
Did you get your bike serviced at George White Slough?
Thu, 18 Aug 2011Unfortunately, The George White branch at Slough has closed which means the sales, clothing and servicing departments are all gone. I got to know a few of the guys there as they're local to me and helped put my 848 Challenge bike together. If you used to get your bike serviced there, you might wonder where you can now go to get it done.
