Honda Shadow description

2014 Honda Shadow Phantom, 2014 Honda Shadow Phantom
The Darkest Shadow Of Them All.
The Shadow Phantom has got to be the most unique Shadow we ve ever made. It s an utterly stunning head-turner, and one look will tell you why with a blacked-out 745cc V-twin engine and black rims sporting matte silver highlights, bobbed fenders, spoke wheels and beefy front fork. Then the exhaust note hits you: a deep, throaty pulse rumbling from dual exhausts. It s hard to resist, we know. And downright impossible once you ve seen its price tag. And best of all, the Shadow Phantom gets an estimated 56 miles per gallon*!
Sometimes a whisper is way louder than a shout. And that s most definitely the case with the Shadow Phantom.
Features may include:
The Power That Lurks In The Shadows.
The Shadow Phantom rocks a 745cc V-twin engine with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI). The result? You get plenty of power, the kind of torque only a V-twin can offer, easy cold-weather starting and seamless, any-condition fuel delivery.
Send A Message Without Saying A Word.
Black is the color of confident power, and the Shadow Phantom has plenty of that. All-black engine, frame, rims and handlebar all perfectly accented with matte silver highlights makes this a machine everyone is going to take seriously.
Strong, Silent Type.
The Phantom s durable and virtually maintenance-free shaft final drive ensures smooth, dependable power delivery to the asphalt. No hassles, no grease flying everywhere. Just smooth, quiet power transfer.
*SRP $8,240. Does not include $310 in destination charges.

Honda Announces Electric Motorcycle Plans

Tue, 13 Sep 2022

Carbon neutrality by 2040 Honda announced plans for a carbon neutral future and a goal of introducing 10 or more electric motorcycles by 2025 including three mid-range models and a youth model for North America. Until now, Honda has been very tentative when it comes to electrification, with its main focus being on developing swappable battery packs for electric two-wheelers. Its Japanese counterparts Yamaha and Kawasaki have outlined their own plans, while in North America, Harley-Davidson is days away from finalizing its LiveWire spin-off.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
