Honda Shadow description

2013 Honda Shadow Phantom, CRUISER WITH ATTITUDE!!!ALL NEW 2013 PHANTOM!!!PLUS TT&l ONLY!!!2013 Honda Shadow PhantomYou've never seen a Shadow like thisThe first time you lay eyes on the Shadow Phantom, it s impossible to keep yourself from staring. Gawking, really. And wishing you had one in your garage. After all, this is the most unique Shadow we ve ever made, an utterly stunning head-turner with its blacked-out 745cc V-twin engine and black rims sporting matte silver highlights, bobbed fenders, spoke wheels, and beefy front forks. Then the exhaust note hits you, a deep, throaty pulse rumbling from dual exhausts. It s hard to resist, we know. And downright impossible once you ve seen its price tag.Minimalist ArtThe Shadow Phantom embodies the minimalist, stripped-down ideal of custom cruisers past, delivering a uniquely clean and uncluttered look accented with extensive use of blacked-out features the frame, engine, rims, and handlebars bringing motorcyclists back to what it means to be cool. With its torque-rich 745cc V-twin engine featuring the sophisticated ease of Programmed Fuel Injection and three-valve/dual-plug combustion chamber construction serving up heaps of low-, mid-, and top-end muscle, the very affordably priced Shadow Phantom puts the thrill of saddling up one of the wickedest customs on pavement within reach of just about every rider.V-Twin EngineNothing pumps out the torque like a big V-Twin. The Phantom's power makes it perfect for both around-town cruising, commutes, and casual weekend-long rides.Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)Forget about fiddling with a choke the Shadow's fuel injection system means no-hassle startups on cold mornings or at high altitudes, and optimal performance in any condition.2-Into-2 Exhaust SystemSleek new pipes feature bullet-style mufflers for that classic cruiser style of yesteryear. Large-diameter head pipes and 2-into-2 system design combine to put out true, V-twin cruiser sound.Five-Speed TransmissionWide-ratio five-speed transmission lets you cruise the boulevard at a low, unhurried pace, yet lets you hop on the highway without revving the engine through the roof.Front Disc BrakeIf there's one place you DON'T want retro performance, it's when it comes to your brakes. That's why we gave the Shadow Phantom a 296mm front disc for distinctly modern stopping power.

WSBK 2013: Phillip Island Race Report

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Max Biaggi who? The Roman Emperor’s retirement after winning the 2012 World Superbike Championship marked the end of an era for Aprilia, with the 2013 campaign marking the first without Biaggi since the Italian manufacturer came back to the WSBK scene with the RSV4. If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
