Honda Shadow description

2010 Honda Shadow Phantom (VT750C2B), 2010 Honda Shadow Phantom 750 in remarkable condition. This bike has less than 3,000 miles on it and is in nearly factory condition. Upgraded Cobra Streetrod flat black pipes make this bike both look and sound incredible. Garage kept as a non-daily driver it's entire life and it has NEVER seen the ground. Brand new Duralast Gold battery as of 9.18.13. There are two very minor imperfections to this bike: 1) the left rear turn signal gasket is a little loose (almost not noticeable and has no functional implication) 2) the leather strap on the seat has a little ware on it. Apart from that, this bike looks stunning, sounds fantastic and has been taken care of every day of it's life. I am the first and only owner, bike was purchased from Honda Powersports in Huntington Beach right off the showroom with one mile on it. Would also be willing to part with a nearly new SHOEI RF-1100 black helmet with dark smoke visor and a Large Alpine Stars synthetic kevlar reinforced jacket for $500 if need (thats a steal, helmet alone costs more brand new). San Carlo Gresini To Field CRT Entry with Honda CBR1000RR Engine

Tue, 15 Nov 2011

The San Carlo Gresini race team announced it will compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship as a Claiming Rules Team with a Honda CBR1000RR engine in an FTR prototype chassis. The move is a late, but unfortunately necessary change from the team’s original plan to run the factory-level Honda RC213V racebike. The late Marco Simoncelli was tabbed to ride the newest version of Honda’s MotoGP machine next season, but after his tragic death, Gresini had to find another option if it wanted to continue racing.

Mick Doohan NSR500 art sculpture

Wed, 04 Apr 2012

How do you best immortalise the great Mick Doohan and the big bang Honda NSR500 with which he dominated Grand Prix racing in the 90s? An Australian artist has answered this by creating an art installation that sees a hand-created replica of the bike exploded and suspended from the ceiling. The Doohan piece is appropriately titled 'The Big Bang' and as artist Eamon O'Tootle describes, "It is a complex sculpture comprising thousands of parts joining to make up a whole and symbolic tribute to the true inherent nature of art and sport – the creativity of design, where the mechanical is modified to suit the needs of man." Eamon added: "The way the Doohan piece came about was that one of the bikes Mick rode had an engine configuration called the Big Bang.
